What is ConnectAtConference?

A badge scanner for conferences and trade shows that does the research for you. Photograph a name tag and it looks up their company, finds who runs it, and writes up how you could do business. It runs in a browser and can go on your phone's home screen.

Do I have to photograph every badge myself?

No. You can share one link with a whole room. People add their website, get a write-up in about a minute, and become your contacts. They never need an account.

Does it give me their phone number and email?

It tries hard. It checks a contact database, reads the company's own website for the people named there, and looks each of them up. If it cannot reach a person, it uses the number the business prints on its site.

What happens to the photo of the badge?

We read the words off it and delete the picture. We keep the name and the company, not the image.

Does it work on an iPhone?

Yes. Open it in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen. It then opens like an app and can tell you when a write-up is ready.

Can I use it for more than one business?

Yes. Pick as many of your companies as you like and get one write-up for each. A single shared link can cover several of them.

Who owns the contacts?

You do. They follow you, not a company, and you choose when to share one with your team.
